Umagine turns corporate CSR into delivered, monitored climate resilience for Indian cities: flood protection, urban heat mitigation, nature-based solutions, and community WASH. Nine years of city access, GIS-grade risk assessment, and MDB-quality delivery, applied to your Schedule VII fund. We also work with city governments and development institutions on the full adaptation cycle: from hazard data to bankable project.

Anusha turns climate risk into bankable, delivered projects, and CSR funds into measurable city resilience. She structures investment-ready proposals for GCF, MDB, and CSR finance, with nine years across city governments, national ministries, and development banks in South and Southeast Asia.
Most recently, inside the MoHUA Climate Cell (with KPMG), she shaped India’s national urban climate agenda: the Clean Air framework for 131 cities and the national Urban Heat Island study. At CDP she led climate disclosure and finance readiness for 50+ cities across South Asia and APAC, building a C40–WRI India knowledge platform. With ICLEI she delivered ADB-funded Green City Action Plans in Malaysia; and at SEEDS she led the Delhi Climate Action Plan (with C40, TERI, and the Government of NCT Delhi) and GIS flood analysis for Chennai.
Her earlier work spans ADB climate-risk programmes in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Tamil Nadu, the GIZ Climate Smart Cities framework with NIUA, and nature-based solutions with the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat. She sits on the IPCC AR7 Urban Expert Review Team, so the work holds up to peer-reviewed standards.
View LinkedIn profileCorporate CSR is one of India’s most underutilised tools for city-scale climate action. We change that by structuring CSR investments into delivered, monitored climate resilience interventions, working directly with cities from risk assessment through to infrastructure on the ground.
Most CSR climate spending today is fragmented: one-off plantation drives, donor reports without monitoring, and NGO grants without spatial logic. Our model is portfolio-level: city-scale, GIS-verified, MDB-aligned, and built for your CSR-2 and BRSR file.
Flood inundation mapping · drainage improvement · watershed restoration for cities
Heat action planning · urban greening · clean air frameworks for 131+ cities
Bio-swales · urban forests · constructed wetlands · ecosystem restoration
NbS and WASH interventions for climate-vulnerable and slum communities
Multi-hazard risk reduction · Build Back Better · community preparedness frameworks
Training urban local bodies and government institutions on climate risk and adaptation
We identify where CSR delivers the highest resilience impact (flood-exposed wards, heat-vulnerable communities, degraded urban ecosystems), and map it to your eligible Schedule VII activity.
Nature-based solutions, drainage infrastructure, heat-resilient public spaces, community WASH, designed for the city’s planning framework and structured for CSR compliance.
On-ground coordination with urban local bodies, state departments, and community organisations, from procurement through construction to community handover.
GIS-based infrastructure monitoring, beneficiary impact assessment, and outcome reporting aligned to ESG and BRSR: verifiable, auditable, and ready for your annual report.
A single neighbourhood or settlement-level intervention, the most local scale and often a first pilot.
A focused programme across one municipal ward, a typical early CSR engagement.
A programme spanning a city district or several wards, with broader reach within one administration.
A city-wide programme across multiple districts and hazards, designed as a multi-year commitment.
A regional or national programme across several cities, often blended with co-finance.
We are not a grant-receiving NGO. We are a specialist climate adaptation consultancy that implements, bringing city access, MDB-grade rigour, and the same methods we use for ADB and GIZ.
We already work with MoHUA, NIUA, state climate cells, and ULBs. We bring the city to the table, not the other way around.
Our methodology travels: a CSR programme designed by us can be co-financed by ADB, GCF, or C40-CIFF, which multiplies the reach of every CSR rupee.
Satellite + spatial monitoring + ground-truthing. The same standard ADB uses for its TNFUIP and SCTEIIP portfolios.
Anusha sits on the IPCC AR7 Urban Expert Review Team. Your CSR work is methodologically credible to peer-reviewed standards.
Where eligible, we structure CSR alongside MDB, bilateral, or EU finance, which extends the reach of your fund.
If your company is ready to make CSR count on climate, at scale and with proof, talk to us. A scoping conversation covers your geography, Schedule VII fit, and the city partners we can bring in.
From city climate commitments to funded, investor-ready adaptation programmes: grounded in Indian urban policy, internationally connected, and structured for the funder in view.
From city climate commitments to funded, investor-ready adaptation programmes. If your city needs a CAP that funders will back, or a disclosure that opens doors to GCF, ADB, and C40 finance, this is where we begin.
Spatial flood intelligence cities can act on, and development banks can fund. From inundation maps to prioritised investment pathways, structured for urban local bodies, state governments, and MDB procurement.
Community-rooted, finance-ready NbS, from peri-urban ecosystem maps to funded pilots. Spatially grounded, community-integrated, and structured for the funder in view.
Heat vulnerability mapped, quantified, and connected to national urban mission funding. Urban heat is underfunded and underassessed, and we change that.
National-scale air quality frameworks and spatial land use plans, built for government implementation and climate disclosure.
Multi-hazard risk strategies for cities that cannot afford to be unprepared. Designed for South Asian urban realities and aligned to Sendai and UNDRR.
The capacity to act on climate risk is as important as the risk assessment itself. We build the institutional knowledge that makes adaptation programmes self-sustaining.
A 45-minute scoping conversation covers your geography, Schedule VII fit, and the city partners we can bring in. From there: a 6-week design for a ward pilot, or a 3-month design for a city programme, both with funding pathways mapped.
